George and Lisa Fischer founded The Daily Bean in 2016, after George was laid off from his job as a factory worker. George had already been experimenting with roasting his own coffee beans as a hobby, and Lisa loved to bake. They wanted to create a place that combined their mutual love of coffee, pastry, and community.

It is important to George and Lisa that The Daily Bean is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. With their community events, they foster a welcoming atmosphere that makes The Daily Bean feel like a “home away from home.”

On any given day, you can come in to find George in the back, still experimenting with coffee roasts (which smell heavenly!). You’ll see Lisa, typically in a flour-smudged apron, bouncing between the kitchen and the front counter. Their warm smiles and hearty hellos will let you know how seriously they take their motto: Come on in, stay awhile! The Daily Bean has everything you need for today.
